Product Description

Abend am See, a beautiful Serenade for Mandolin Orchestra (or Zupforkester) from German plucked-instrument composer Werner Dünnbeil.

INSTRUMENTATION: Mandolin 1, Mandolin 2, Mandola, Mandocello, Accordion, Guitar, Violoncello, Double Bass (and/or Mandobass).

This arrangment includes a Mandocello part and a Cello part. Some changes in articulation and dynamics to suit.

A standard 'Mandolin Orchestra' has a Mandocello and rarely a Mandobass! Normally doesn't include a Violoncello but a Zupforkester does. In my arrangments for 'Mandolin Orchestra', I include Cello and Mandocello in most and Double Bass part's can double with a Mandobass (but they are rare). Piano, vocals and percussion/drum kit are sometimes added. I am a cellist in a 'Mandolin Orchestra'.

PLEASE NOTE WITH INCLUDED AUDIO: Generated from 'Finale' software. The 'Mandolin' tracks DO NOT abide by dynamics such as the other instruments, which is a fault from the software. Also with plucked instruments, tremolos are much more subtle and controlled when played live.
