Product Description

Excell was a late 19th Century construction worker, hymnist, teacher, and publisher from Ohio. Some have affectionatley called the tune "Othello" after Excell's middle name. Sections A and C are the verse. Sections B and D are the chorus. A modulation to a new key occurs at the end of section B with the aid of an Italian augmented sixth chord. A descant by yours truly is then added. Section D ends with a Pagal cadence.
