Rev. Ranseyer was an early 20th Century pastor, hymnist, and evangelist. He and his wife braodcasted songs over the radion during the 1930's and 1940's. This song should be played in a sweet and humble [dolce e umile] manner. Section A and C are the verse. Secions B and D are the chorus. A modulation to a new key occurs towards the end of section B with the help of a German augmented sixth chord. A descant by yours truly is then added.
