Product Description

[This Publication is in A4 size. Letter size (8/5 x 11) is also available.]

Giuseppe Verdi (1813-1901) is well known for his operas, one of which is Aïda in four acts which premièred in Cairo in December 1871. It was supposed to première in January of the same year; the delay was due to the Franco-Prussian War.

The Sacred Dance of the Priestesses is in Act I, Scene 2, and the Dance of the Little Moorish Slaves is in Act II, Scene 1. These two short ballet scenes in the opera can be performed together or independently.

This publication is for concert band with full score (pp. 119), piccoloharp (pp. 2170), and transposed parts (pp. 7194).

A printed score and the parts on CD-ROM are available for purchase at www.kasamamusic.com.
