Product Description

During the covid lockdowns I, like many others, kept teaching through online services like Zoom and Teams. I wrote some short pieces for my students and asked them to provide titles for the music. The Triceratops Pop was originally composed for the alto horn and virtual orchestra. My idea was to create simple music with repeating patterns, in order for the learner to develop pattern-recognition skills.

This version is written for seven-part winds and percussion. There are some small rhythmic challenges but as most patterns are repeated, they should easily be overcome by players in their 2nd or 3rd year of playing. This piece will also feature in an upcoming Dinosaur-themed suite.
