This six-part chorus sets a poem by Charles Anthony Silvestri (used with permission), written in response to the COVID-19 lockdowns and cancellation of live music performances. A text-painting device in this is the use of sustained chords where one note disappears each beat, making the chord thinner and thinner until just a single note (a process reversed at the end). It also explores the "ng" sound, both as a stand-alone humming technique, but also as words close that end in "ng."
