Product Description

Scored for two Violins, Viola and Cello, there is a Third Violin Part as an alternative for Viola and an optional Contrabass Part which makes the piece playable by a String Orchestra. Whilst the piece is marked easy, the first part may present a challenge to inexperienced players. The other parts are easy.

Rustic Dance was composed by C.R. (Cyrus Ryerson) Howell (1857-?), a Canadian minister, artist and musician and was first published by the De Luxe Music Company of New York in 1900. It has been described as a quirky country-dance style piece.  It was used in a scene in the 1962 film The Music Man.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
