This Cello Duo is an outrageous idea: How would it sound if you would play simultaneously The Swan together with Bach Prelude No 1 from the 6 Cello Suites. The idea was put to me by a student of mine, who asked me just to try how that would sound - first I was dumbfounded, but I always took her ideas seriously, as she had an unusual good sense of making things work together. I now adjusted the 4/4 time of the Bach Prelude to the 6/4 time of the Swan, and it sounded perfect for the first few bars! I was so astounded I went home and adjusted harmonically the whole piece in a similar manner suiting the harmonies of the Swan. I hope you enjoy it as well as we did!
