Product Description
"Tomber amoureux de vous" ("Falling in love with you") is an original composition in classical style based on the chord progression to the popular song, "I Can't Help Falling in Love With You."
Recorded by Elvis Presley in 1961 on his album "Blue Hawaii," "I Can't Help Falling in Love With You" (written by Hugo Peretti, Luigi Creatore, and George David Weiss) was loosely based on "Plaisir d'amour", a popular French love song composed in 1784 by Jean-Paul-Égide Martini.
Perhaps due to its simple yet lovely chord progression, "Plaisir d'amour" has long been a favorite of vocalists in recital, and "I Can't Help Falling...." has become a pop music standard. This composition for string quartet evokes some of the beauty and romanticism of both.
