I have always been a huge fan of Frédéric Chopin, and in particular, his Nocturnes for solo piano. I believe these redefined what classical piano was capable of. However, he never wrote one in the key of C Sharp Major. While I realize I will never possess the skill of one of the best composers of all time, I intended this piece to be reminiscent of his style. It starts with a beautiful flowing left hand in triplets, with lots of modal changes and jazzy chord substitutions before transitioning to a middle passage in 3/4. You will love this beautiful Nocturne in C# Major.
