The Beta Quartet put out a call for scores and I answered the call with this piece. It was premiered by Beta Quartet in a fundraising concert they put on, with donations going to support critical care nurses. This was something I was happy to support! Regardless of your opinions on the handling of the Covid pandemic, there is no doubt that healthcare workers worldwide have had a lot to deal with over the past two years, and deserve our respect and support. This piece is a fanfare celebrating their courage and commitment throughout, as well as a bit of commiseration for the hardships and heartbreak they endured during this difficult time.
