Product Description

"Agnus Dei" is a the last movement from a larger work, 'Missa Pastoralis'.
Originally written for Gerald Fagan and his choir, the piece is for a mixed double choir and soprano solo.
The music depicts the composer's childhood memory - as a sonic impression - of a mountain village in which he grew up. Thus the 'Agnus Dei' conveys a feeling of mystic sweetness of a moon-lit autumn evening. Soprano solo is an imitation of traditional flute melody often associated with a moon and a nightingale.
It is designed to be flexible in the size of the choir. Ideally, it should be preformed as 'a cappella', but the accompaniment is provided and permissible when needed.
