Theme and Ten Variations for the Pianoforte is a work that explains how a contemporary composer thinks. It is accompanied with a short explanation of the composing techniques and ideas that are used in this work. It is ideal for pianists who would desire to play new music, as this work shows the pianist's dexterity, but also for amateurs musicians, students in Music Universities and professional composers. This work includes the knowledge I gained studying Composition in Music Department of the Ionian University. Studying many works from other composers from different periods and working hard to come up with fresh ideas, I managed to create two collections of Theme and Variations for the contemporary piano, pointing out the pianist's dexterity, but also making it interesting for musicologists.
