3. Seattle Cascade/Shutters Corners. ©1989, ©2005 and ©2021. October sun & showers/Catskill village in early September. The repeated descending theme in the first half depicts the downpours between sunny breaks which came to me in 1982. The theme in the second half came during a bike ride in late afternoon (1989). I put it together in 2005. In 2011 I added an oboe part performed by Paul McCandless that year (recording of him playing it on soprano sax in 2018 is on Nature's Dream). I incorporated most of it in this solo piano arrangement which is a bit fuller than the simpler solo audio clip you will hear here (as well as a bit more challenging to play). Later I will make the accompaniment version available (with the simpler piano part).
