Product Description

Debussy creates the effect of three hands playing. Lavines clown acts were accompanied by trumpets and drums, often backstage. "Strident," "spiritual and discreet": tongue-in-cheek. "Sec," a dry sound for staccato chords. Debussys transformation of the American popular tune, "Camp town Races." Sudden dynamic changes suggest the juggling act of "General" Lavine, tossing large and small items at the same time.
This is a new orchestra transcription.
