Upbeat and joyful SATB Christmas carol/ Negro spiritual, with opportunities for exploiting dynamics and tempo- especially at the end where the held notes could go on forever. The verses are placed on the soprano stave but could equally be a soloist or the full section. Note the contrast between the tender attitude in the verses and the abrupt fortissimo change into the chorus (eg. bar 12)  The outro vamp (bars 24-26) could go on for  longer.
