I made this arrangement for SATB or children's choir very simple. Still it introduces orchestral timbres in dialogue with the voice, as different verses are played in different orchestral combinations.

For children's choir just do the soprano and alto parts.
Another feature of this version is that the choir can perform the carol in 4 (or less) different languages: English, French, German and Russian verses are all printed in the included choral score. Of course, one can also sing more verses in one language.
