Product Description

Performance time: 4 minutes approx.

This song was written by Avril Lavigne, in response to her experience with lyme disease. The song itself was written as a prayer, but is suitable for both church and school groups to sing. This would work well for any standard school concert, or special church service.

The arrangement itself does not deviate too much from the original harmonic structure of the piece, and as such, acts as an opportunity for intermediate singers to explore a cappella music through an accessible arrangement. There are a couple of challenging sections which will stretch the singers and introduce them to slightly more advanced close-harmony singing techniques.

Although written for SSAAB, the second alto line can be sung by tenors with a good falsetto (as necessary). Beatboxing is optional, but is worth considering for use in this arrangement.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
