Is there anything in this life more devastating, more heartrending than the loss of a child? Yet that is precisely what my beloved friend Rebecca and her beautiful family endured. What was expected to be a heart procedure from which their precious 13-year-old son John would be home within days - by Christmas 2019 - turned into an unfathomable two-month ordeal for this family.
Despite heroic medical intervention, John slipped away on February 18, 2020. In the face of this unspeakable tragedy and loss, it is hoped that this work will offer some measure of solace and comfort to Rebecca, her family, and all those who knew John.
