The first movement of a piano sonata: Maestoso - Allegro cast in a late 20th century idiom. Not for the faint of heart, but ultimately satisfying in its endeavor to create a four-movement work based on its defining motifs outlined in the very first opening bars. The audio sample is a clip from the second bridging movement (not included yet) that leads inexorably into the remaining two movements - theme and variations followed by a joyous finale. They will be uploaded depending on the response to the dramatic opening movement. The entire work received its US Copyright on February 25, 2015.
