This piece is part of a series of tango-jazz compositions. Each one explores a particular quality of the tango. Number 3 is about the power of attraction. One of the unusual things about this piece is the first 2 bars of the melody (with a stop time break) are not used for solos. This enables the stop time to not become overused. The minor blues framework of this tango is more apparent in the the solo section.
