Written for Solo French Horn and Orchestra, "The Phoenix Rises" is a 3 minute 37-second piece that tells the story of overcoming adversity and coming back stronger than before. Implying that one rises, like a Phoenix; a mythical bird that lives for 500 years, builds its funeral pyre, bursts into flame and dies in its fiery inferno. After being consumed in flames, the bird rises out of the ashes and is reborn.
