El zapateado es tipo de danza y música folclórica de origen andaluz en compás de 6/8, y movimiento vivo, marcado a dos tiempos, el segundo muy acentuado. Presenta en su baile un gracioso zapateo. Los humanistas del siglo XVI afirmaban que el zapateado o taconeo derivaba del lactisma de las danzarinas romanas de los tiempos del Imperio.

The zapateado is a type of dance and folk music of Andalusian origin in 6/8 time, and live movement, marked in two beats, the second being very accentuated. He presents in his dance a funny tapping. The humanists of the 16th century affirmed that the tapping or taconeo derived from the lactisma of the Roman dancers of the times of the Empire.

Der Zapateado ist eine Art Tanz- und Volksmusik andalusischen Ursprungs im 6/8-Takt und eine Live-Bewegung, die in zwei Beats markiert ist, wobei der zweite sehr akzentuiert ist. Er präsentiert in seinem Tanz ein lustiges Klopfen. Die Humanisten des 16. Jahrhunderts bestätigten, dass das Klopfen oder Taconeo aus dem Lactisma der römischen Tänzer der Zeit des Imperiums stammte.
