Another thing it seems, is that the most popular of these stories, in the film medium at least, always have incredible French horn lines. I was blessed to go to school where incredible horn players were abundant, and I made friends with as many of them as I could. This piece is meant to be a fun exercise for the imagination: what happens during the maiden voyage to the stars? What happens in the search for the next Earth?
