WHENCE COMES THIS RUSH OF WINGS? For Flute and Piano
Playing time: Appx. 3:50
Services: Advent, Christmas, Epiphany
Concerts: Christmas season

This piece for flute and piano is based on the traditional Bas-Quercy French carol, "Noël des Ausèls" ("Christmas/Carol of the birds"). It tells of birds flocking to the manger on Christmas Eve to sing to the Holy Child.

This arrangement of the ancient carol is not written to be merely a piano accompaniment to a flute solo, but instead is meant to be an actual duet between the two instruments, each equally sharing in melody and countermelody. It also works well for violin and piano. May it be a joyful addition to your services, concerts, or recitals. God bless.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
