ABOUT THE PIECE

This is an easy piano piece (level 1-2) that I composed for my pupils some years ago. The ABA-Form with A minor and F major as harmonic poles is inspired by Robert Schumann's famous piano piece "Der wilde Reiter" (The Wild Horseman).

The easy accompaniment with the fifth as main interval gives "Trotting Horses" an archaic sound, which reminds a little bit of a medieval dance.

According to my experience, the piece is quickly learned, and children enjoy playing it very much!
