Product Description

This 2 1/2 minute a capella secular motet for SATB voices set portions of Horace's Epode no. 2. The text expresses the poet's independent life free from public attachments, and also includes slaves in the veneration of the household gods, an usual concept for ancient Rome. Horace (Latin name: Quintus Horatius Flaccus, December 8, 65 BC November 27, 8 BC), is known in the English-speaking world as Horace; he was the leading Roman lyric poet during the time of the emperor Augustus.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
