The Emperor and the Nightingale for Percussion Octet is adapted from my ballet score for Oakland Ballet, based on Hans Christian Andersen's The Nightingale.
This nine-minute percussion arrangement features the following scenes: Prologue, Emperor, Tai-Chi, Kitchen Maid, Nightingale, Mechanical Bird & Epilogue.
This is a moderately advanced piece for high school or college.
