The 1st movement is a Legato style in the key of c melodic minor which after a percussion interlude transitions to a Marcato or March like style in Eb Major (relative major) in the 2nd movement. Practice with your ensemble these minor and major keys with the comparative emotions of sadness to joy for each key respectively.
