Product Description

Pop! was written in early 2016 for the Klarinet Kerfuffle, a day of workshops and recitals for clarinetists of all ages in Saskatchewan. It is a short romp with the folk tune Pop Goes the Weasel. The original version was written in 6/8 time. It was revised for the 2019 Klarinet Kerfuffle, and the new version is in 3/4 time. Both versions are provided here, and in its debut at the closing concert, some of the musicians played from the 6/8 version and others used the 3/4 version.

Lyrics of the song as I learned them:

All around the cobblers bench
the monkey chased the weasel;
the monkey thought it was all in fun.

A penny for a spool of thread,
