It is written in the typical Joplin style of four sections but concludes with a return to the first section in a slightly more developed form, reflecting a musical circle of life. Rag-a-Ma-La is slang for "Rag of My Life" and portrays my own personal pianistic and musical development over the course of my life. Rag-a-Ma-La is listed in the NFMC Federation Festivals Bulletin for July 2020-June 2024.
