Product Description

Originally written for large string orchestra and harp, Patrick Doyle's theme for the 1993 Brian de Palma film "Carlito's Way" is akin to Samuel Barber's famous 'Adagio for Strings'. Much like Barber adapted that piece for choir (known as 'Agnus Dei'), composer/arranger Mikael Carlsson has arranged Doyle's "Carlito's Way" theme for mixed a cappella choir, setting the piece to the 'Libera Me' lyrics from the Requiem Mass. The result is a dazzling, passionate work for the advanced choir looking for an expressive, spell-binding addition to their repertoire. The arrangement was premiered by the Pro Musica Mundi Choir conducted by Wiesław Delimat, during the 12th Film Music Festival in Kraków, Poland, in 2019.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
