Product Description
The very moving words by Judy Lane, beautifully set to music, make 'Welcome' a memorable piece to celebrate a birth.
This song is popular for a special choral or soloist performance at Christening ceremonies.
Welcome new born child, on you the Lord has smiled.
The wonders of his world to you will be unfurled.
Open those blue eyes and wonder at the skies.
Listen to the breeze as it plays among the trees,
Listen to the birds as they sing their happy song,
Sing their Happy Song, sing their Happy Song,
Sing their Happy Song.
But never forget as you journey through the years,
Some filled with laughter, others wet with tears.
God is always there, he will listen to your prayer.
God is always there, all your troubles he will share.
So climb his high mountains that touch the sky, and swim in his crystal sea.
Walk in his meadows and smell the flowers put there for you and me.
God is all around, God is all around.
God is always there, God is always there,
God is always there.
So welcome new born child, on you our Lord has smiled.
The wonders of his world to you will be unfurled.
So open those blue eyes and wonder at the skies.
Listen to the breeze as it plays among the trees,
Listen to the birds as they sing their Happy Songs.
God is all around,
God is always there.
