Product Description
Children of Light, a trio for flute, clarinet and bassoon, reflects the life cycle of stars. The five movements include three tableaux and two short bookends. The tableau titles are intentionally amorphous, in that they include to astronomical and mystical references. The first and last movements echo themes from the tableaux to imply the cyclical nature of the universe.
The music was adopted by STSCI, the public face of the Hubble Telescope, as part of their 'Hubble Art' project.
