Ode to Joy is one of the most famous melodies of Ludwig van Beethoven as well as of all classical music. The tune is extracted from the last movement of his Symphony no.9 and is a suitable piece for recitals, ceremonies, and other special occasions.

The following arrangement is for three violas and piano (with a special Easy Viola part using open strigns) and allows the performers to play in a number of combinations:

Solo (viola I) with piano
Duo (viola I and II) with piano
Trio (viola I, II, and III) with piano
Quartet (violin I, II, III, and Easy Viola) with piano
Unaccompanied duet
Unaccompanied trio
Unaccompanied quartet

Included are the piano and viola scores as well as an optional version of viola I written an octave lower (no low second fingers)
