This series of musical obligatos is designed for my flute students and people just like them - YOU!

There are 4 obligatos in this set. It is in the Key of D Major, to match with hymn 213 out of the LDS hymnal. This should not be construed as an endorsement by the church. The first verse (letter A ) works for younger students. The second verse (letter B) has a lot of long held high D's. The third verse (letter C is more flowing and has you going up to a high F#. The fourth verse (letter D) goes up to a high A. Have fun at home with this verse, but unless you play it beautifully, you shouldn't do that note in sacrament meeting.

If you do not have an LDS hymnal, but your hymnbook has 'The First Noel' in the Key of D, this should work for you.

Violinists might enjoy it too.

Even if you don't need to do a musical number, many flutists have a parent who can play the hymns. This lets you have a musical moment together.
