Karen Naifeh Harmon, ASCAP

Karen Naifeh Harmon is a composer and violinist known for writing classical music fused with a blend of exciting sounds including gypsy, Arabic, Latin, blues and Irish fiddling influences. Her compositions have been performed by members of the New York Philharmonic, the European Recording Orchestra in Sofia, Bulgaria, the KLK Symphony in Lviv, Ukraine, the Tulsa Signature Symphony Orchestra, the Tulsa Signature Symphony Quartet, the Tulsa Youth Symphony, Tulsa Community Orchestra, Tulsa Community College Orchestra, and the Marywood University Orchestra. Most recently Karen received a World Premiere and a New York Premiere of her works "Appassionata Air for Sophie" and "Obsidian" composed for and performed by the virtuoso violinist, Kinga Augustyn.

Kinga considers "Appassionata Air for Sophie" to be among the most beautiful pieces ever written for the unaccompanied violin.

Karen is the Executive Director of the Tulsa Honors Orchestra and the Tulsa Honors Baroque Orchestra. A Nationally Certified Teacher of Violin, Karen received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Composition for Film, TV and Video Games from Berklee College of Music in 2020. Karen also received a Graduate Diploma in Film Scoring in 2022 from the Film Scoring Academy of Europe.
