Alejandro Vivas Puig is a musician, composer, arranger and artistic director. Born in Almería, he studied music in Madrid specialising in guitar, counterpoint, fugue and harmony .

For over 20 years, Alejandro Vivas has been composing, orchestrating and arranging music, producing music, providing artistic direction in concerts and music events, teaching courses and music workshops and developing projects around music.  

As a composer, he covers many areas: instrumental pieces for soloists and orchestra, a capella choir, choir and orchestra, musical comedies, film music, music for images and audio-visual, etc. 

 

Alejandro Vivas also holds a degree in Psychology from the Complutense University of Madrid and is a teacher specialised in Music.

The works of Alejandro Vivas have been premiered and performed by multiple soloists such as Ainhoa Arteta and national and international formations, such as the Symphony Orchestra of Paraguay or the Orquesta Metropolitana de Madrid. His compositions and arrangements cover a broad spectrum, ranging from classical choral and symphonic music to more contemporary styles such as jazz, soul or pop.

In the cinematographic field, highlights the soundtrack of the film «The plot of El Escorial» (Antonio del Real, 2008) and «The chess player» (Luis Oliveros, 2017), whose music has been praised by critics and the audience, and awarded with a multitude of awards in national and foreign territory.
