Pianist and ASCAP composer and arranger, Julie Rivers, is a native Texan and graduate in piano performance from the University of North Texas. She made her debut as piano soloist with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and has toured with the Texas, Kansas and Mid-America Arts Alliance touring programs. For fourteen years she received ASCAP Plus Awards for her original music. New Age Voice magazine featured tracks from her albums on their CD Samplers and in NAV Airwaves Top 100. NPR's Radio Kansas and other online venues rotate her music, and two of her albums were simultaneously on the Hastings Books Music and Videos "Top Ten." She is one of seventeen pianists selected nationwide for the Spring Hill Records release, The Heartaid Project, benefiting families of the 9/11 tragedies. Julie is included in the book The World of Women in Classical Music, Dr. Anne K. Gray, La Jolla, CA. She currently lives in Topeka, KS where she teaches, writes and records.
