Suite for Young Orchestra (2013)
Original composition designed to illustrate the power of a Young Orchestra with limited pitch
sets and techniques (Differentiated) to keep the instruments equally engaged. Prelude for
example, utilizes Open Strings and minimal pitches for each instrument. The movements can
be performed separately, and combined over the length of a season.
Performed by the Tune Up Philly Orchestra in a Side by Side Performance with the
Philadelphia Orchestra, led by now Conductor in Residence Cristian Măcelaru
in the Spring of 2014.
