Product Description
Blind Mary was composed by O`Carolan, it is an irresistible enchanting little piece.
In this file there are 3 versions for 3 different sizes of harps.
One in F for a big harp, one in Eb for medium size and the one in F for a little 3 oct. lap harp a very similar one to the one that usually O`Carolan used to perform.
The melodic bass played with the left hand demands a little bit of coordination but the arrangement is focused in the main melody and is very easy to perform in all this 3 versions. The piece is so beautiful that I recommend it to be played always twice in a row.
Some interpretation symbols are used as a performance suggestion.
Most of the score is left to the interpretation of the artists involved, particularly the use of fingering.
Feel Free to apply in this piece the Art and technic that expresses entirely your individual skills and taste.

The sound file is the version in Eb for a medium size diatonic harp, it was produced with samplers from Garritan and conceived merely as an audio support for the presentation of the score.

O` Carolan lived in the 17 century. Known as The Last Irish Bard", he is an Honored and Beloved Irish composer.
He became an itinerante harpist after losing his eyesight to smallpox.
Extremely talented, he composed a vast repertoire of music and left also a well known number of real good stories to tell due to his rich temperament, social caracter and spicy sense of humor.
