Product Description
This masterpiece celebrates the glorious antiphonal style of the early Baroque and features the full-throated, spectacular brass ensemble sounds of today. A contemporary of Giovanni Gabrieli and Heinrich Schütz, Schein's vocal showpiece translates perfectly to an orchestral brass section as a triple-antiphonal quartet arrangement showcase for brass programs and band or orchestral concerts featuring the brass section. The arrangement is scored for four B-flat trumpets with alternate C trumpet parts, four horns, four trombones with horn substitute parts for two of the trombone parts and tuba are included. The recording is of the entire edition.
