Product Description
"Dominus Vobiscum" is one movement from a larger work entitled Reconciliation, a set of 12 Latin prayers.
Each movement takes it's inspiration from individual postcards containing pictures of St. Michael's Cathedral
in Coventry, England. When performed in sequence, Reconciliation can serve as a worship service however,
the individual movements also can stand alone.
This opening movement is a call to worship containing the following text:
Dominus vobiscum The Lord be with you
Et cum spiritu tuo And with your spirit.
Pax vobis Peace to you.
When performed, the piece should be taken at the suggested tempo or slower depending on the pianist's
comfort level with the accompaniment. However, the piano part is just a backdrop and should never
outdo the text. There should always be a ritardando the end of a phrase and a return to the original tempo
throughout the piece with every phrase as demonstrated in the opening choral phrase.
