James Lan's March is a fun piece for trumpet and piano. It's an intermediate level difficulty for trumpet, and the piano part is as difficult as a Scott Joplin rag. James Lan's March is ideal for a competition, as well as any performance that would include ragtime. Don't think of this as a serious piece by Beethoven or Brahms; this music is meant to be light-hearted. James Lan's March was collaborated between Eddie Lewis and his son Alex Lewis. Eddie made the original composition while Alex improved the piano part. This is the first time that they created a composition together.
