Each of the tracks on the album, including "What Child is This," was improvised and recorded in a single take in the studio during the month of October, 2013.
From the composer: "As a boy, I often sat at the piano, playing traditional carols on Christmas Eve, while my parents, sisters and brother sang along. Enhanced by an occasional Oregon snowfall, these memories continue to bring me joy today. The album is dedicated to the memory of Dan Chadburns former teachers, Maxine Martin and Dr. Calvin Knapp.
