As I learn the gospel of my Savior dear,
I desire His Spirit always to be near.
Longing to be baptized in the name of God.
I will covenant, now, to clasp the iron rod.
Am I really worthy of His love for me?
My poor heart is willing that it be made free.

I will enter, now, these waters strong and true.
As I live the gospel, daily facing strife,
