Product Description
Leonard Cohens masterpiece, Hallelujah is a song that needs little introduction. Released by Cohen in 1984, it gained wider recognition through a range of cover versions by artists as diverse as Jeff Buckley, Alexandra Burke and John Cale. The latters rendition was featured in the film Shrek bringing the song to a new generation of listeners.
As violin and guitars teacher and arrangers, we are often asked to create versions of classic songs which are more manageable for those learning the instruments. Our challenge is to achieve this without losing the integrity of the original composition. This is what we hope to have provided in this arrangement of Hallelujah.
Your download will give you:
- A full score
- A violin duet part with bowings, fingerings and dynamics
- A part with optional guitar chords
A video of Kirsty performing and teaching this arrangement will be on YouTube before the end of September 2025.
I hope you enjoy learning and performing Hallelujah as much as we've enjoyed arranging and performing it.
