Sing For Your Supper is a collection of pieces written for community choirs and workshopped at the COMA Summer School in 2025. Each piece produces rich harmonies and dynamic rhythms, easily singable by any community choir.

Vegetable Soup was written at the very formation of CoMA Voices, the first CoMA vocal ensemble, mirroring the instrumental ensembles which were already established by then. The opening scoring and semi improvised writing make it suitable for any group of singers and it was a success from its first outing. Melodic catches introduce the ingredients over a low, rhythmic pedal. The free writing allows the voices to interact and build to a climax of dynamic and texture.

Chowder was written for community choirs and workshopped at the COMA Summer School in 2025. Like Vegetable Soup, the ingredients are introduced by solo voices singing catches, like the street cries of London. Rich harmony is produced by the singers choosing a note within a cluster, making it singable by any community choir. It ends with some crusty chords as the bread is finally added. It is scored for SAB with as many solo parts as wanted.
