Product Description

The polka mazur Frauenherz (A Woman's Heart) is the second musical love poem that Josef Strauss composed for his wife Caroline. It premiered on 6 September 1864 at the Volksgarten in Vienna. The arrangement is kept in the original key of the composition for symphony orchestra and was commissioned and first time performed by Mozarteum Wind Philharmonic Salzburg conducted by Hansjoerg Angerer at their "New Year's Concert" on 6 January 2011 at the "Grosses Festspielhaus" (Large Festival Hall) in Salzburg, Austria.
