This version is a little slower and has some interesting differences from the original version of Free as a Bird (sheet music also available for the original version). Free as as Bird is a neoclassical, expressive solo piano piece. This song is all about freedom and flight. I have always envied birds and I wish I was brave enough to paraglide! My hope is that this song communicates the feeling of freedom. The act of being free can be experienced in so many ways... whether it be while laughing, riding a bike, painting, playling piano or being your true self with loved ones. When I play this song, I feel relaxed, free, at peace and grateful. I dream that birds feel a bit like this when theyre gliding in the blue sky. :-)
